Shanon Baltic Birch Plywood is made from 100% Birch Timber Core veneers bonded with undiluted Phenol fortified resin to render it boiling water proof. Shanon Baltic Birch Plywood is manufactured at a European Manufacturing facility meeting international quality standards of an exterior grade plywood. This is done with reason as Birch trees are most widely grown and available in the Baltic region of Eastern Europe and Russian. Birch Timber has extraordinary weight to strength ratio making it the most widely used timber species across the world for making plywood. Apart from being a really strong ply, Birch has the characteristics of being one of the most acoustic, sound resonant material out there which makes it ideal for making speaker boxes, musical instruments, paneling auditoriums, etc.
Shanon Baltic Birch Series plywood are composed using only 8×4 feet full core panels of 1.4mm thickness each which ensures zero gaps, zero overlapping, zero warp or bending as well as extraordinary nailing and screwing capability without any splitting issues. Both face sides of a Birch Ply are also composed of 1.4mm thickness core panels while having beautifully sanded grains on both sides which can be polished to reveal an enchanting texture feel in an interior project. Conforming to IS : 710 : Marine grade which means Shanon Baltic Birch ply can withstand 72 hours soaking in boiling water, high humidity & temperature variations without deforming or soaking.
