Shanon Platinum Ply is a BWP | Marine grade ply made from Gurjan Hardwood timber veneers. And by Gurjan we mean 100% imported Burmese Gurjan. Shanon Platinum Marine grade ply is the flagship product from the house Shanon Ply. Every panel is made with pre-press technology and is bonded at high pressure and temperature with undiluted Phenol formaldehyde resin. It is further treated in a vacuum pressure impregnation plant, using specific preservatives to render it resistant to marine organisms. Shanon Platinum Ply panels are composed using 8×2 core panels of thickness 1.8mm for each layer of core. This ensures that the finished ply has zero core gaps, zero overlaps, and zero splitting on nailing or cutting. The panels are finished with 0.4mm thick Gurjan face veneer.
